August 25, 2013 --- Hualien Tourist Sugar Factory is really a tourist trap! The whole place is nothing other an old run-down sugar factory that you can see only on the outside and a small one-room museum (all in Chinese). People come here to eat its famous ice cream and sit around or shop for local snacks. We didn't see a single person in the museum. Well, at least I got to ride on a water buffalo!
